Back home!!

It's the last day, we are on the plane on our way to Barcelona. All of your sons and daughters were heartbroken. They didn't want to leave Dublin because of the great time they have had, but they also were happy to come home to see you all.
This last day has been a relaxing one, we have visited Temple Bar with all the typical pubs, they have had some free time to do their last shopping and after that we walked along the Liffey to attend the Riverdance exhibition, at lunch time we have had our packed lunch sitting under the shade of St. Stephen's park trees. Later on, we have walked back to the campus, we have finished packing our last things and waited for the coach to take us to Dublin's airport. At the airport we have boarded on the plane, and waited for our landing to see you all.
We want to thank you for the lovely two weeks we have had. It has been not only a great chance to practise our English but also a time to start a friendship which will last forever.

Trip to Kilkenny and Dunmore caves

Today we have gone to the town of Kilkenny by coach. We visited the Kilkenny castle, the cathedral and the center of the town. After, we have gone to Dunmore Cave (in Kilkenny too), where a guide has explained us about the cave. Then, we have returned to our apartaments, and we have gone to Domino's Pizza to have dinner. We have eaten near the cannal and then we have gone to the apartments again because we  had a disco night. We have been dancing with Italian people and then our MLI activity leaders have signed our new T-Shirts. We have said goodbye to all of our Italian and Russian friends, especially Askhat and Iskander (Sergi and Quim friends),  and`the activity leaders too.
Tonight we are going to pack and then we will sleep because tomorrow we are going to walk around Dublin's centre in the morning, at midday  we'll see "Riverdance" performing some tradicional irish dances along the Liffey in an attempt to achieve the longest line world record.
In the afternoon, we'll go to the airport to catch our plane back to Catalonia.
See you tomorrow!!

Our last lessons

Today, we have had the last lessons. When we have finished, the teachers have given us the certificates of MLI school, which depended on the level of the class. After classes we've gone to have lunch, and as always there was a chicken dish. After lunch we have gone to play sports to the same sports center we usually go to. We have played basketball, football and hurling with a lot of new Italian people; and as it was hot, we have started playing with water and it has ended up in a"water fight".
Finally we've returned to Griffith School and we've had dinner and as always there was chicken.
When we have finished dinner we've gone to a Pub near the school to have a drink. There, we have seen the Irish drinking beer, but we have drunk coke or orange juice.
When we have came back to school we've gone to the night activity. Today's activity was "Table Quiz" which consisted in a quiz in groups of five people about different topics. The group that has won was formed by five of us and either winners and some other students have been rewarded with an MLI staff t-shirt.

Irish disco!!!

What's up, people!
As everyday we have woken up early to go to have breakfast and then to study a little bit. We are annoyed because since Monday we have had to change our class everyday, but it doesn't matter because we meet new people and new teachers and they are all nice. After some lessons, we had lunch as usual and then back to our rooms to rest for a while people have started to shout. Quickly, we've found out the reason of their yellings. There was a fire drill and we have run around the campus trying to find somebody to tell us what we had to do. It's easy, you listen to the alarm, go out of the building and look for the fire assembly point. Once there, after some time you can go back to your room.
Today's afternoon activity was to visit the Georgian quarter and  the museum of the Georgian Houses. House n.29 shows the life of upperclass and lowerclass people of Georgian times. The four storey house leads the visitor to be aware of the life in the past. The house had some plaster figurines which resembled the former inhabitants. Form our point of view, it was scaring because there were a lot of dummies representing the different members of the family that used to live in the house number 29.
After the visit to the house, we went to Trinity College, we have walked around the area and we have bought some souvenirs and some of us have gone to Abercrombie or Starbucks. (we have taken photos with the handsome and friendly shop-assistants).
Tonight we had  Irish Disco.  If we wanted to go in, we had to wear something green or we could also have  a shamrock or the Irish flag painted on our cheeks. We danced a lot and we had a great time.

Lessons, swimming and Quim's birthday party

We are writing the blog tonight because our students are very busy. It's been a long day, full of very interesting activities which are still going on at 11:45.
In the morning, they have gone to class and we have taken pictures of them, so you can see and meet their classmates. After lunch, they have prepared their swimming gear to enjoy an afternoon in the swimming pool. Everybody has had a lot of fun, you can't see it because it is forbidden to take pictures in the "Swan leisure centre", but we promise it was great. On our way back to college, we have strolled along the canal, it's been a nice walk after the relaxing time at the swimming pool.
At night, they have had the most enjoyable part of the day. It's Quim's birthday, he has just turned 16, and some of his mates have been organising a surprise party. Birthday cake, balloons, decorations, and a nice present from all of us. The present is a photo-collage of the happiest and funniest moments of our trip to Ireland, which they made yesterday at break time and printed it in the afternoon.
But do you know where you can print pictures in Ireland?  Sure, you don't, but we know you are very witty and will post your answer.

Swaping roles day

Today after the classes we have gone to Dublin center with new Italian people. We have visited the City Hall, which has an exhibition of the history of Dublin. Then we have gone to two protestant churches, Christ Church the oldest and St. Patricks Chruch the biggest church in Ireland.
After our visit we had free time. Some of us have gone to a shopping center, we have bought souvenirs for our family and things for us. The others have gone to drink or have something in the shopping center or in a Starbucks.
In the evening we have gone to a special disco, where the girls had to dress like boys and the boys like girls. It has been a very funny night, because of the funny dresses of the Italian boys. They have dressed like  real girls, they wore muffins under their bra to look like teets and very short dresses too.
We have to say that our boys have been really shy except two of them who have dressed like girls.
Good night

Speed dating to meet new friends!

Today, as usually we have woken up too early. After  not  a very good breakfast, we have gone to class. We have met new teachers and new classmates. In the afternoon we have gone to the sportscenter for the second time during our stay in Dublin. Some of us have learned a dance with cups, others have played football and others have played basketball, voleyball, tennis table, badminton and the more curious ones have tried some hurling shoots.
At 8 o'clock we have done a speed dating activity to meet new friends or maybe new loves. The ice-breaker was a great chance to meet very friendly and pleasant Italian people.
Finally, we have to say that this evening has been sad and happy. Sad because we had to say goodbye to our Italian friends (or more than friends) and happy because we have met  new Italian people who come from Rome and who knows if they'll become more than friends ....
